- Determine the eligibility of the project for NMTC.

Project Documentation:
- Gather all necessary documents, including business plans, financial statements, and community impact reports.
We Identify Suitable CDEs!
Research:
- Identify CDEs that have allocations of NMTC and are interested in the type of project being proposed.
- Look for CDEs that have a history of investing in similar projects or within the project's geographic area.
Networking:
- Leverage existing relationships and networks within the NMTC community to identify potential CDE partners.
- Attend industry conferences, seminars, and events to meet and connect with CDE representatives.

We Engage The CDEs!
Introduction:
- Introduce the project to identified CDEs through formal presentations and meetings.
- Highlight the project's merits and how it aligns with the CDE's investment criteria.
Negotiation:
Negotiate terms of the investment, including the amount of NMTC allocation, financial terms, and compliance requirements.
Due Diligence:
Assist CDEs in conducting their due diligence on the project, providing necessary documentation and facilitating site visits if required.

Dr. Shiao Y. Woo
Leading Expert in Radiation Oncology

Dr. Shiao Y. Woo is a world-renowned radiation oncologist with over five decades of experience treating both pediatric and adult cancers. He specializes in tumors of the brain, spinal cord, blood, bone, nervous system, and soft tissue. A pioneer in proton therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and pediatric radiation oncology, Dr. Woo has significantly advanced cancer care through groundbreaking research and clinical innovation.

Recently retired as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Woo led advancements in clinical care, research, and medical education. His distinguished career includes leadership and faculty roles at top institutions such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine, Georgetown University, and Tufts University. As Director of the MD Anderson Proton Center, he played a key role in shaping the future of oncology treatment strategies.

Dr. Woo’s clinical expertise spans a wide range of complex cancer treatments, including proton therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and multidisciplinary approaches to brain, spinal cord, blood, and bone cancers. He holds a medical degree from the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom and the University of Malaya. His postgraduate training includes a residency in radiation oncology at Stanford University Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at Georgetown University Medical Center. He is board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and Radiation Oncology.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Woo has authored more than 200 publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and clinical studies. His work has appeared in leading oncology journals such as the American Journal of Clinical Oncology and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics. His dedication to education has earned him numerous honors, including the Teacher of the Year Award from the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology, recognition in Best Doctors in America, and the Patient Golden Apple Award from MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Woo remains an active leader in the medical community and is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Society. His commitment to healthcare extends beyond the clinic, driving his ongoing efforts to support underserved communities through healthcare access and broader economic development initiatives that improve the livelihoods of individuals and communities. With a lifelong dedication to advancing the field of radiation oncology and community well-being, Dr. Woo continues to be a global force in cancer research, treatment, and education.
